The Literary Arena was positively brimming during the WordTheatre performances with a who's who of established household name actors: both tv and Hollywood stars as well as rising stars from British Independent films and theatre shows from all around the world. Teaming with awards between them, this stellar cast of actors read from a fabulous selection of short stories from exceptional authors, both American Pushcart Prize Winners and featured stories from this year's prestigious BBC National Short Story Award in partnership with Booktrust and the Scottish Book Trust.

Field of Dreams: Where Fantasy and Reality Take Flight
Dallas Campbell, Harry Treadaway, John Schwab, Beatie Edney, Megan Dodds, Alice Coulthard, Jonny Phillips, Ben Chaplin and Gary Dourdan brought the words of Lord Byron, Carl Jung, Marcel Proust, George Bernard Shaw, Christopher Reeve, Akira Kurosawa and Britney Spears and more to life.
